I bought a guitar from Musician's Friend that they had advertised as new. I was listed as a Blem item (blemished?) I called to inquire before making the purchase. They told me there was nothing wrong with it, it was not a factory second, it was actually an "open box" item and that it still carried the original Limited Lifetime Warranty. I purchased a (Condition 2-Gently Used) Gibson J-45 True Vintage Acoustic from Musicians Friend on March 28th for 2463.00. Bought a new mixing console online, already paid for it and had the invoice. There was a shipping problem and I was up against a deadline, musicians friend had it in stock so the other company said they would refund me if I needed to go elsewhere. We recently bought a guitar from Musicians Friend. When the one we were looking for wasn't available the woman on the phone suggested another one. The guitar arrived promptly, but we were very sad to see that UPS had smashed it to bits in transit. I ordered a new Martin D-35 guitar and case from Musician's Friend in southern California. When it arrived, I attempted to register it with Martin, only to be told by them that it had already been registered by someone else a month before I bought it. I purchased a peavey combo 112 ,a couple of months it started making noise after research and talking to techs .I discovered the preamp tubes were mixed .had some jjs and jubys .These come stock with rubys .also the power tubes went bad .all the preamp pins were bent ,i figure it was cheaper for someone to return the then to buy new tubes .Maybe someone in the same state .this was a replacement...
